What is there to tell about a student’s school day? With nearly 50 entries in the “A School Day with NTTU Students” TikTok content creation contest in 2026, the answer lies not only in the lecture halls, libraries, or practice rooms, but also in very real stories about youth, friendship, majors, and the journey of maturation under the university roof.

On the morning of June 11, 2026, the Communications Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized the Award Ceremony for the TikTok Content Creation Contest “A School Day with NTTU Students”. The program aimed to honor outstanding works, while encouraging students to use digital platforms to tell their own stories of learning and experience in a creative, civilized, and responsible manner.

M.A. Bui Quang Trung – Head of the Communications Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University speaks at the Award Ceremony of the TikTok Content Creation Contest “A School Day with NTTU Students” in 2026

The contest was launched from April 21 to May 20, 2026, attracting nearly 50 entries from faculties and institutes across the university. The works captured many everyday slices of life in the university environment: a class session, practice hours, club activities, teamwork, extracurricular events, moments with friends, and even the naive emotions of the first days of becoming a student.

Instead of choosing to introduce the university using conventional stereotypes, NTTU students brought viewers closer to school life through the insiders’ own perspectives. From short videos on TikTok, the image of Nguyen Tat Thanh University emerged closer, more dynamic, and more colorful through the daily rhythm of its students.

From a Day at School to Stories About the University Environment

Speaking at the program, M.A. Bui Quang Trung – Head of the Communications Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University stated that the contest was not only a playground for content creation but also an occasion for students to practice their observation, storytelling, and self-expression skills on digital platforms.

According to M.A. Bui Quang Trung, in the context of strong digital communication development, students are not only information recipients but can also become content creators. The important thing is that you know how to use digital tools to spread positive, authentic, and valuable stories.

“Be confident in expressing yourselves. Only when you dare to try, dare to experience, and dare to share your stories, will you know where your true strengths lie and what suits you best,” M.A. Bui Quang Trung messaged.

He believed that each student has a unique journey at the school. Some remember the first days full of surprises when entering the lecture halls, some are impressed by practical classes, while others retain memories through movement activities, clubs, or times completing group assignments with friends. When retold via videos, those seemingly ordinary things become vivid materials about student life.

“A video may only be a few tens of seconds long, but if told with a true perspective and true emotions, it still has the power to spread. The University hopes that NTTU students not only excel in their majors but also know how to tell their stories in a creative, civilized, and responsible way in the digital space,” M.A. Bui Quang Trung shared.

According to him, the value of the contest does not lie entirely in the prizes or rankings, but in the fact that students dare to start, dare to appear, and dare to tell their stories to the community.

The competition creates a playground for NTTU students to practice video storytelling, utilize technology, and express a youthful perspective on the university environment

“No single person acts as the sole judge. Family, friends, the online community, and people who spent time watching your videos are also those giving the most authentic evaluation. The appreciation, shares, and emotions that a work delivers are highly precious rewards for every contestant,” M.A. Bui Quang Trung said.

He also emphasized that the submitted videos do not just serve a short-term competition. In the long run, they are also documents preserving your own student memories.

“The day will come when you graduate, and everyone will embark on their own separate journeys. At that time, the footage recorded today will become valuable memories of the student years at NTTU,” M.A. Bui Quang Trung shared.

Students Telling NTTU Stories through Real Experiences

Representing the award-winning students, Le Thi Le – a student from the Faculty of Creative Communications, winner of the First Prize with the work “Diary 19: A School Day with NTTU Students” stated that the process of making the vlog gave her an opportunity to look back on her learning journey.

Student Le Thi Le – Faculty of Creative Communications, First Prize winner of the contest, shares the journey of making the work “Diary 19: A School Day with NTTU Students”; thereby showing that the learning environment at NTTU encourages students to create content, practice digital media skills, and confidently tell their own stories

“I would like to thank the Communications Department for creating a meaningful playground for students. While editing the vlog, I had the chance to look back on my early days filled with surprise when entering the university gates, recalling the joys, sorrows, and youth lessons. This is a proud milestone in my journey of studying Communications at the university,” Le shared.

For students of the Faculty of Creative Communications, the contest was an opportunity to apply knowledge into actual products, from ideation, story building, filming, video editing to monitoring viewer feedback. For students of other majors, this was an occasion to try their hand at a popular form of media among youth, while practicing self-confidence and self-expression.

From the entries, viewers encounter a very ordinary yet distinct NTTU: students attending class, practicing, working in groups, joining clubs, and interacting with friends and lecturers. These details not only make the videos more relatable but also demonstrate a university environment where students are encouraged to learn by experience, refine skills through practical activities, and proactively leave personal marks in their learning process.

The contest also reveals a very different approach to media by today’s students. You do not just record images to preserve memories, but also know how to turn personal experiences into stories capable of connecting with the community. This is also one of the vital factors in training a young workforce to adapt to modern working environments, where specialized professional skills need to go hand in hand with creative thinking, communication capability, and technology utilization competence.

For Nguyen Tat Thanh University, platforms like “A School Day with NTTU Students” do not just generate movement activities for students, but also contribute to shaping necessary learner capacities in the new context: knowing how to observe, tell stories, utilize technology, and spread positive images of the community they are studying in. This is also how NTTU brings the spirit of learning associated with experience, creativity, and reality closer to its students.
