After nearly a month of intense and thrilling matches, the 2026 Annual Men’s Football Tournament between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts at Nguyen Tat Thanh University concluded, leaving many memorable milestones.
More than just an annual sports event, the tournament significantly enhanced the bond between students from both faculties. It spread a spirit of physical fitness, teamwork, and a dynamic campus culture across NTTU.
The tournament was organized as part of a series of activities celebrating the 27th anniversary of the establishment of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. This practical movement contributed to enriching student life while reflecting the University’s commitment to holistic education. At NTTU, students are not only equipped with specialized academic knowledge but are also provided with favorable conditions to participate in academic, cultural, sports, and community activities to develop skills, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.
Attending and supporting the tournament were Dr. Ma Van Phuc – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung (M.Sc.) – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering; Mr. Le Hai Hong Phong (M.Sc.) – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts; along with lecturers, alumni, students, and athletes from both faculties.
The tournament created a healthy and beneficial playground, attracting a large number of students from both faculties to actively participate in the competition
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Ma Van Phuc – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts delivered encouraging words to the teams, urging the athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, and sportsmanship. According to Dr. Ma Van Phuc, the tournament not only brought exciting matches but also created a valuable platform for students from both faculties to exchange, learn, enhance collective spirit, and jointly build a beautiful academic culture at NTTU.

After the opening ceremony, the teams embarked on their competitive journeys with high determination. This year’s tournament attracted a large number of students from various cohorts and classes within the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts.
On the pitch, Civil Engineering students demonstrated discipline, endurance, and competitive resilience, while the Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts students brought flexibility, creativity, and a colorful collaborative spirit. The intersection of these two distinct educational fields generated a vibrant, emotional, and highly connected season.
The atmosphere of the tournament was fueled not only by the fierce competition on the field but also by the enthusiastic cheering from the student body. The shouts, applause, and constant accompaniment of lecturers and friends successfully transformed the tournament into a true sports festival. Through each match, students gained opportunities to improve their health, foster teamwork, enhance coordination capabilities, and build resilience under pressure—essential qualities for their studies, future careers, and lives.

For the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the sporting spirit is an integral part of shaping a professional, disciplined demeanor and teamwork capabilities for students—crucial factors in the engineering and construction sector, where every project demands precision, responsibility, and close coordination. Meanwhile, for the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts, this playground helped nurture creativity, self-confidence, and community connection—core values tied directly to the distinct nature of training in design, fine arts, and living spaces.
A highlight of this year’s season was a friendly match between the Organizing Committee, faculty members, and alumni from the Class of 2015 during the closing ceremony. The match took place in a joyful and intimate atmosphere, bridging generations of lecturers, alumni, and students. Consequently, the tournament transcended a standard sports activity to become a meaningful bridge uniting the communities of both faculties and the broader NTTU family.
After nearly a month of competition, the Organizing Committee presented awards to outstanding collectives and individuals. Demonstrating consistent form and convincing performance, class 22DXD1B excellently claimed the championship title. The Second Prize went to FC 22DXD1C, the Third Prize was awarded to class 22DTR1A, and the Fourth Prize went to class 23DXD. Regarding individual awards, student Huynh Hải Đăng was honored as the Best Goalkeeper; student Huynh Minh Hòa received the Top Scorer award for an impressive goal-scoring performance throughout the season.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung acknowledged the serious and fair-play spirit of the athletes. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung shared: “The annual football tournament between the two faculties is an occasion for students to exchange, train, and bond. Through this, the tournament enhances solidarity not only within each faculty but also radiates to the entire NTTU student community, inspiring a dynamic, positive, and enthusiastic youth spirit.”

As the season closed, the accolades awarded did not merely recognize the efforts of the teams but also demonstrated the profound impact of student movements on campus life. From the pitch, students from both faculties gained further opportunities to practice discipline, team spirit, coordination skills, and confidence—vital elements to perfect themselves alongside their specialized academic pursuits.
Through the 2026 Annual Men’s Football Tournament, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture – Interior – Applied Fine Arts continue to affirm their roles in building a dynamic, cohesive, and experiential learning environment for students. Aligned with the practical educational orientation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, extracurricular activities such as this tournament actively contribute to helping students develop holistically, preparing them to adapt to professional requirements and future integration.
