NTTU Students Connect with Tay Ninh Enterprises: Shaping a New Future through Agricultural Value Chains

ppblong / 12:49 am 29/06/2026

On June 24, 2026, representatives of leaders, lecturers, and students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University participated in the “Member & Leader Coffee” program in An Ninh Commune, Tay Ninh Province, themed “Building Value Chains and Unlocking Sustainable Outlets for An Ninh Commune’s Agricultural Products.” More than just a networking activity, the program also opened up a highly meaningful practical learning space for NTTU students, especially those representing the University’s startup clubs.

From Lecture Halls to Enterprises: A Journey of Learning from Reality

In the context of higher education increasingly emphasizing practical experience, the presence of NTTU students at the program is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of “learning goes hand in hand with practice.” Students not only listened to insights on local economic development but also directly approached a very real problem of Tay Ninh’s agriculture: how to enhance the value of agricultural products, build sustainable value chains, unlock market outlets, and reduce risks for producers.

For students representing startup clubs of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, such as the NJEC Young Entrepreneurs Club, INNTECH Technology and Innovation Club, HEALTH TECH Health Technology Club, HIC Humanities and Innovation Club, and VIM Impact Media and Project Initiation Club, this was a special “open classroom.” Through discussions among businesses, local authorities, cooperatives, scientists, and educational institutions, students had the opportunity to observe a socio-economic issue from multiple perspectives: marketing, production, technology, commerce, logistics, branding, and sustainable development. This is crucial material for young people to form a practical entrepreneurial mindset, rather than just stopping at ideas on paper.

The “Member & Leader Coffee” Program: Connecting to Unlock Outlets for Agricultural Products

The “Member & Leader Coffee” program, organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Tay Ninh Province in An Ninh Commune, created an open dialogue space among enterprises, local government, specialized agencies, scientists, cooperatives, production households, and representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Under the theme “Building Value Chains and Unlocking Sustainable Outlets for An Ninh Commune’s Agricultural Products,” the program focused on one of the most practical issues of local agriculture: how to ensure that agricultural products are not only well-produced but also well-consumed, branded, and enhanced with added value.

As agriculture shifts from a production-driven mindset to an agricultural economics mindset, forming value chains from production and processing to consumption, e-commerce, and export is considered an urgent requirement. For NTTU students, the discussions at the program helped them deeply understand that a startup project in the agricultural sector cannot just stop at creating a product. To go a long way, the project needs a clear business model, quality standards, distribution channels, branding strategies, and the capacity to connect with partners in the value chain.

Visiting Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company: Understanding Industrial Infrastructure and Investment Environment

Also within the framework of the program, the delegation visited Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company (TTC IZ). Here, NTTU students were introduced to an overview of the company’s formation process, fields of operation, and development orientation. Notably, the delegation gained more insights into the role of TTC IZ in developing industrial park infrastructure, attracting local investment, and creating a foundation for the production and business activities of the corporate community.

This visit helped students understand that behind the development of a locality are not just individual products but also an infrastructure system, an investment environment, supportive policies, human resources, and organizational capacity. For startup students, the lesson from TTC IZ opens up an ecosystem mindset: a project that wants to develop sustainably needs to know which value chain it stands in, what infrastructure it needs, which partners, which markets, and what resources to scale up.

Through networking and listening to shared experiences from the business, students had further opportunities to ask questions and connect management knowledge with the actual operation of an industrial zone. This is an important experience for students to better visualize a real business environment, where every decision is linked to operational efficiency, competitiveness, and long-term development strategies.

Visiting Thuan Phong Co., Ltd – An Ninh Branch: Witnessing the Operational Challenges of Local Businesses

According to the schedule, the delegation continued to visit Thuan Phong Co., Ltd – An Ninh Branch. This destination brought students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University closer to how a local business organizes activities, operates processes, and connects with the market.

For students representing startup clubs, the field trip to Thuan Phong provided many practical insights. For a business to grow, it needs not only a good idea but also stable processes, the right team, quality control capabilities, the capacity to meet customer needs, and adaptability to market fluctuations. These are factors that students often find difficult to fully grasp if they only learn from textbooks. From a startup perspective, every local business is a story of resilience, organization, and the ability to create value. When directly observing, students can learn to ask better questions: what do customers really need, what problem is the business solving, what are the operating costs, where are the bottlenecks in the market, and where are the opportunities for young people to participate in creating new solutions.

Visiting VH-FARM Agricultural Co., Ltd: Suggesting Directions for Modern Agriculture

The next stop on the journey was VH-FARM Agricultural Co., Ltd. For NTTU students, this was an opportunity to see more clearly the potential of modern agriculture—a field not only linked with production but also with technology, quality standards, traceability, branding, and sustainable development.

In a context where consumers are increasingly concerned about clean, safe, and transparently sourced agricultural products, methodically oriented agricultural models open up many opportunities for startup students. They could see that innovation in agriculture does not necessarily have to start with overly far-fetched technologies. Sometimes, innovation lies in how production is organized, how the product story is told, how packaging is designed, how distribution channels are built, or how farmers are connected with businesses and consumers.

For Nguyen Tat Thanh University, such field trips contribute to fostering a spirit of commitment in students: daring to step into reality, daring to observe community problems, daring to test solutions, and daring to pursue sustainable values. This is also the foundation for student projects in food technology, agriculture, circular economy, and the commercialization of local products to gather more development materials.

The Greatest Value: Students Learning from Real Problems, Connecting with Real Doers

The distinctiveness of the program lies not only in the visit locations but also in the value of connection. NTTU students stepped into a network comprising businesses, entrepreneurs, local leaders, scientists, and research-training units. Within that network, they understood that entrepreneurship is not a lonely journey, but a process of finding the right problem, meeting the right people, connecting the right resources, and creating real value for the community.

From the story of the agricultural product value chain in An Ninh Commune, students can relate to many project development paths: deep processing of agricultural products, green packaging, traceability, e-commerce, local branding, agricultural logistics, digital transformation in agriculture, and developing circular economy models. These directions perfectly align with the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship that NTTU is spreading across the student community.

Particularly for students representing startup clubs, the trip was also an opportunity to accumulate a young leader’s perspective: knowing how to observe problems, connect resources, learn from businesses, and turn experiences into action. This is a very important capability for a generation of students who do not just want to find a job after graduation, but also want to create jobs, create products, and create positive impacts for society.

Affirming the Image of Dynamic, Creative NTTU Students Ready to Create New Values

Participating in the “Member & Leader Coffee” program in An Ninh Commune left a beautiful mark on the journey of learning, experiencing, and growing of Nguyen Tat Thanh University students. From lecture halls to enterprises, from ideas to reality, NTTU students are step by step affirming the image of a dynamic younger generation that actively connects, possesses a rich spirit of learning, and is ready to innovate.

With the orientation of building an entrepreneurial and innovative university environment, Nguyen Tat Thanh University continues to create conditions for students to learn through experience, develop through connection, and mature through real values. From practical trips like the one in Tay Ninh, the entrepreneurial spirit of NTTU students is not only nurtured but also placed in the right context: serving the community, accompanying businesses, and contributing to building a new future for Vietnamese agricultural products.
