Preventing COVID-19 by Implementing Health Care Recommendations

ppblong / 4:01 am 16/06/2025

The Ministry of Health has proactively increased surveillance and closely monitored the disease situation, while strengthening the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures at medical facilities and in the community.

In light of the COVID-19 situation recording an increase in cases in Thailand, although no concentrated outbreaks have been recorded domestically, there has been a slight increase in the last 3 weeks. The Ministry of Health has proactively strengthened supervision, closely monitored the COVID-19 situation, and increased the implementation of prevention and control measures at medical facilities and in the community; standing ready to receive, provide emergency care, take care of, and effectively treat cases, especially for high-risk groups (pregnant women, people with underlying medical conditions, the elderly…), ensuring no deaths occur.

To proactively prevent and control COVID-19, the Ministry of Health continues to recommend that citizens effectively implement the following measures:

  1. Wear masks in public places, on public transportation, and at medical facilities.

  2. Limit gathering in crowded places (if not necessary).

  3. Wash hands regularly with clean water and soap or sanitizer.

  4. Increase physical activity, exercise, and maintain proper nutrition.

  5. If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, you must go to the nearest medical facility immediately for examination, monitoring, and timely handling…

People arriving from countries with high numbers of COVID-19 cases need to proactively monitor their health status to prevent and control COVID-19 for themselves, their families, and those in close contact. The Ministry of Health will continue to coordinate with the World Health Organization (WHO) to closely monitor the global COVID-19 situation and put forward appropriate and effective disease prevention and control measures.
